If you are looking for an SUV that can handle any challenge, look no further than the Skoda Kodiaq. The Kodiaq is one of the best-selling SUVs in Europe, with over 600,000 units sold worldwide since its launch in 2016. The Skoda Kodiaq Kodiaq is a flagship model for Skoda, the Czech brand known for its clever solutions and value for money. Now, Skoda is introducing the second generation of the Kodiaq, which is more spacious, sustainable, and smart than ever before.

The 2024 Skoda Kodiaq debuted on October 4, 2023, at the Paris Motor Show, where it will impress the audience with its new design, technology, and powertrain options. The new Kodiaq will also offer a sporty Sportline trim, which adds black accents and a metal-look trim to the interior. We will explore some of the main features and highlights of the all-new Skoda Kodiaq.

Exterior: A Modern and Muscular Design

The 2024 Skoda Kodiaq has a larger and more imposing presence than its predecessor, measuring 187.3 inches in length, 73.3 inches in width, and 65.3 inches in height. The wheelbase is unchanged at 116.9 inches, but the increased length provides more room for passengers and cargo. The new Kodiaq can seat up to seven people in three rows of seats or offer up to 76 cubic feet of luggage space with the rear seats folded down.

The exterior design of the new Kodiaq is inspired by the Vision IN concept that Skoda unveiled in 2020. The front end features a wider and more upright grille, surrounded by slim LED headlights with matrix technology and a horizontal light bar. The hood has a flatter profile and a subtle concave shape in the center. The bumper has larger air intakes and a silver skid plate.

The side view of the new Kodiaq shows sharp creases and sculpted surfaces that give it a dynamic look. The roofline slopes gently towards the rear, where a spoiler and a light bar connect the LED taillights. The rear bumper has a diffuser and dual exhaust tips. The new Kodiaq also has a variety of alloy wheels from 17 to 20 inches in diameter, as well as nine color options, including a new shade called Bronx Gold Metallic.

The Sportline trim adds some distinctive features to the exterior of the new 2024 Skoda Kodiaq, such as black roof rails, window frames, mirror caps, grille surround, diffuser, badges, and D-pillars. It also has exclusive 19-inch wheels with a glossy anthracite finish or optional 20-inch wheels with aero covers.

Interior: A Spacious and Sustainable Cabin with Innovative Controls

The interior of the 2024 Skoda Kodiaq is a combination of spaciousness, sustainability, and innovation. The dashboard has a horizontal layout that emphasizes the width of the cabin. The center console has been redesigned to accommodate a gear selector on the steering column, which frees up space between the front seats. The instrument cluster is digital and can be customized according to the driver’s preferences.

The infotainment system is one of the highlights of the new Kodiaq’s interior. It consists of a 10-inch or optional 13-inch touchscreen that dominates the center stack. It runs on Skoda’s latest MIB3 software, which offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, online navigation, voice control, and over-the-air updates. The infotainment system also integrates three Smart Dials below the screen: rotary knobs with built-in displays that can change their functions depending on the context.

For example, the Smart Dials can adjust the volume, temperature, or fan speed or access the driving modes, parking assist, or adaptive cruise control. The Smart Dials can also show information such as the battery level, fuel consumption, or tire pressure. The Smart Dials are designed to provide a more intuitive and ergonomic way of controlling the vehicle’s functions without distracting the driver from the road.

The new Skoda Kodiaq also offers high comfort and convenience for its occupants. The front seats are electrically adjustable and can be heated, ventilated, and massaged. The second-row seats can slide and recline individually or fold down completely. The third-row seats can be folded down or removed entirely. The new Kodiaq also features ambient lighting with 15 colors to choose from, as well as a panoramic sunroof that covers almost the entire roof area.

The interior of the new Skoda Kodiaq is made with sustainable materials that reduce its environmental impact. For instance, some fabrics are made from recycled PET bottles or wool certified by Woolmark Company. The leather upholstery is tanned using olive leaf extracts instead of chemicals. The wood trim is sourced from certified forests that practice sustainable management.

The Sportline trim adds some sporty touches to the interior of the new Kodiaq, such as black Alcantara seats with contrast stitching, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, aluminum pedals, carbon-fiber accents on the dashboard and door panels, and a metal-look trim on the center console and door handles. The Skoda Kodiaq Sportline trim also features a sporty instrument cluster with a red background, a lap timer, and a Sportline logo on the steering wheel, seats, and door sills. The Sportline trim enhances the dynamic character of the new Kodiaq, making it more appealing to drivers who enjoy a spirited driving experience.
